|| Our Products Ocean GIS Framework The Objective of the Oceanographic information system is to assist in storing, classifying, and analysing the collected data during the three cruises. The system will provide information about sea chemical, biological, and physical characteristics. The information system also aims to distribute the available data to the maximum number of users. The requirements of users using this system are to have the ability to search the available data in spatial, tabular and graphical formats. The system will be web enabled with friendly user interface to allow efficient use of the data. The system would allow downloading of available data upon specific privileges. This information system consists of three sections; the first section provides information about chemical and physical characteristics of the RSA. The second section is for administrating the data infrastructure, and the third section is to provide information for biological characteristics. Technologies used: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, .NET Framework 2.0, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, Oracle 10g.
